All Sunhill nurseries are operating normally. If for any reason travel is affected within the vicinity, please contact your nursery before setting out.

All Sunhill Nurseries are offering 30 hours government funded Free childcare from 1st September subject to place availability at each nursery location.

However parents should be aware this is not being adequately funded by government and is therefore being partly subsidised by private providers. This will necessitate charges for meals plus a slightly higher hourly rate for additional hours over 30, nevertheless parents still benefit financially by an additional 15 hours free childcare per week.

Granta Park Montessori Nursery has moved premises.

Our nursery has now relocated to a Portakabin in front of the Medimmune building. This is an interim measure while a brand new ultramodern nursery is built, which will be in a more convenient location on the edge of the park, adjacent to the main entrance.  Our temporary nursery accommodation meets all required regulatory and safety standards.  The same standards of care and pre-school education have beeen maintained with minimal disruption following the move. We are still not satisfied with the drop-off area and parking arrangements for parents, in which we are currently in discussion with Granta Park management.

Ofsted said “this provision is good”. The nursery has established excellent partnerships with parents, who praise the nursery staff for the warm environment they create, which helps to ensure their children feel safe and settled. All staff attend regular training to support their knowledge of safeguarding. Consequently, they have a good understanding of child protection and the reporting procedures that keep children safe. Teaching is good because staff know the children well and have a solid understanding of how children learn through play. Children’s development is thoroughly monitored and assessed to ensure they all make good progress.  Any strengths and areas for concern are swiftly identified and addressed. The leadership and management are strong. Leaders promote high expectations and support staff well in their drive for improvement.
