Lilliput Village Nursery - Basildon acquired by Sunhill
On 31st July the ownership of this long established children's nursery with an excellent reputation on the outskirts of Basildon, transferred to Sunhill Daycare. MD Geoff Chapman said "it is our intention to build on the excellent care and early years education Lilliput Village Management and Staff already provide, by extending to them the shared resources of our nursery chain developed over the past 17 years for the benefit of both children and their parents".
Supa Tots Gym - Opened 16 July, George Street, Aylesbury
Sessions are carefully structured to encourage all aspects of a child’s development. Physical skills such as balance, co-ordination, flexibility and strength are developed and enhanced which in turn increases self-esteem and confidence. Each 45 minute session combines fun, excitement and challenge in a safe environment. All sessions use equipment that is age appropriate and are run by trained staff to obtain the best for your child.
St Neots - Apricot Nursery gets 'overall Good' Ofsted Inspection Report
Apricot Nursery received Good for both childcare and Early Years Education, the report praises both the management, staff team and improvements implemented by Sunhill Daycare since acquiring the nursery a year ago. The full report is now available on the Ofsted website
Royston - Nursery gets 'Good' Ofsted Inspection Report
The report said ’Children are cared for in a comfortable, clean environment where there is adequate space and separate areas to offer a wide range of activities, and their immediate safety, health and welfare is well promoted because staff understand and promote children’s good health.
Premises
We are currently investigating the possibility of building a new nursery on a site in the North of the town, which will shortly become available. Meanwhile, our existing Royston premises have been re-furbished and offer excellent nursery accommodation in very exclusive surroundings, forming part of the premises occupied by our head office, and used by our own staff. Sunhill - Royston still has vacancies.
Granta Park Montessori Nursery - New Manager
Jane Litton has been appointed manager. Jane has been in childcare for 13 years, of those the last 4 have been as Nursery Manager for 2 nurseries with a major chain. Jane was previously employed at Granta Park as part of the team who opened it in 2001 and has worked in a variety of other settings from a small individual nursery, to a Prep school, to large chains. Jane said "I am very excited and proud to be back as part of the Sunhill and Granta Park teams".
Castle Montessori - Berkhamsted
The first floor area changes are now complete, and the nursery is now registered to accept 87x 2-5 year olds
Little Hands Luton - Promotion of Manager, and new Assistant manager appointed
Rozanna Pollack has been promoted to Nursery Manager, having previously worked for Sunhill in senior roles in Aylesbury and Berkhamsted. Rozanna is studying for a Foundation degree in Early Years Childcare. Claire Wiseman, BTEC has joined Little Hands as Assistant Manager. Claire has approximately 10 years experience in childcare, ranging from day nursery to working as a professional nanny.
New Nurseries
