Free 30 hours pre-school places for qualifying children
Cotton Socks Nursery & Preschool, registered for 94 children is ideally located in the centre of Aylesbury in George Street, and is within easy walking distance of the mainline railway station. Cotton Socks offers superb childcare facilities both to those working in the town centre and commuters.
Cotton Socks employs a highly qualified and experienced longstanding care team committed to delivering high quality childcare, and pre-school education in accordance with the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage), with the added benefit of a music room, thereby ensuring all children are fully prepared for full time education. Cotton Socks also has a highly secure outside classroom/play area, which is semi covered and can therefore be used throughout the year in addition to an internal fully equipped softplay Baby Gym. The nursery accepts children aged from 3 months to 5 years for daycare and pre-school, and up to 8 years for Out of School Club. Payment by nursery voucher, tax free childcare, including 15 or 30 hours government funded free childcare is available to all qualifying parents and children. In addition to a fully secure external all-weather classroom, semi-protected from the elements, thereby enabling children to be outdoors on a daily basis, children also have access to our internal fully equipped baby gym. This comprises a large soft play area where children can run, jump, skip and move freely whilst learning new skills, we also use this room to celebrate children’s birthdays and special celebrations. We have a language and literacy area where children enjoy listening to stories, watching puppet shows and we carry out small group activities. We have a separate dining room where children are encouraged to help prepare the meals and also self serve and staff sit with the children to help promote good table manners we encourage children to talk to each other at meal times and discuss what food we are eating and how they keep us healthy.
